Georgia will host the 2023 Freestyle Ski, Snowboard and Freeski World Championships

From February 16th to March 5th, we will welcome athletes from 42 countries. Up to 3,000 foreign guests will visit the resort during the WSC .
Skiing in Georgia dates back to the beginning of the 20th century Georgian Ski Federation was established in Tbilisi, in 1991. The same year Georgia was first presented at Lillehammer Winter Olympics with an independent flag. Since then, the Georgian ski team has been continuously competing at the Olympics and World Championships.
In May 2018, at the 51st Ski Congress of the International Ski Federation at the resort of Costa Navarino, Greece, it was officially announced that Georgia will host the 2023 Freestyle Ski, Snowboard and Freeski World Championships.
It should be noted that Georgia won the right to host the WSC among 14 countries. For our country, where winter resorts and skiing infrastructure are on the stage of its development, it is a great honour to host World Championships.
The championship will be held in Bakuriani 2023 under the auspices of the International Ski Federation (FIS).
Before the WSC, our country hosted important test events during the last 5 years. getting positive feedback from the International Ski Federation representatives, the Georgian Organizing Committee confidently started the preparations for the biggest event in the history of Bakuriani, Georgia.
Performing successfully on the international arena and obtaining the status of the host country of the WSC is the result of tireless work and the joint efforts of the organising committee - Georgian Ski Federation and Mountain Trails Agency, in partnership with the Government of Georgia.
